May 4, 2017: Cancelled - work under 3028126 - Seattle Public Utilities is proposing to construct an underground storage tunnel to reduce the amount of sewage and stormwater (combined sewage) that discharges to the Lake Washington Ship Canal. A component of the project is the West Portal (where the tunnel boring machine will be launched and excavated material removed) and the Tunnel Effluent Pump Station (used to empty the tunnel following storms) including facilities for odor control and a standby generator.
