Nov. 22, 2018: Last year a retaining wall was half-built, unpermitted (contractor didn't know any better and I believed him). As it both wasn't permitted and comes too close to a fire hydrant, I'm working with a geo tech engineer to re-do the project.

Along the East side of the property we'll likely be removing the existing wall and re-sloping, as there should be enough room between the fence surrounding the yard and the property line. However on the North side, where there is no wall but ground has been removed (and erosion control in place), it's likely some kind of wall will be required. Details are pending a topo survey (scheduled in roughly 3 weeks as the surveyor is booked out) that the geo tech engineer needs to do his full analysis and make a detailed plan.

What I would like to take on as a priority however, before the surveying work, is dismantling of the NE corner of the wall which comes too close to a fire hydrant, impeding access.

I'm marking this as requiring a variance because this is an ECA.

Canceled.
