4201 S NORFOLK ST

Seattle Public Utilities is completing improvements to Pump Station 17 located at 410 S Norfolk St (address on application is incorrect, but matches SDOT UMP 404627). Scope includes a Mechanical Permit (6739751-ME) and the following structural and civil improvements:
· Wet well: replace grating, railing, and beams. Install new ladder from surface down to wet well.

· Dry well: install toe boards where required.

· Expand dry well platform and retrofit ladders/stairs as needed for variable frequency drive (VFD) cabinets.

· Provide hinged grating openings with a hold-open over each pump to accommodate full removal. Include pop-out sections to pass cables without needing to bend grating.

· Assess existing retaining wall, conduct survey monitoring, and provide long term recommendation.

· Install new wet well and dry well hatches; leave stairway hatch.

· Provide hatch cover for existing lift slab.

· Miscellaneous site work for hatches and bypass vault upgrades.

· Street restoration work in S Norfolk St for trench patching (electrical conduits and temporary bypass line).
