Jan. 22, 2020: The project is 701,000sf (16+ acres) located East of I5, West of 12th street, North of South Dakota and South of the Columbia Way off Ramp.
The site was once the two brick pit mines for Seattle.
The site has a mix of level areas above, severe slopes throughout and has several ECA areas (Wetland, Slides, etc.)
Neighbors of the site are interested in erosion control (WA DOT is one of them as their yards lie at the base of the hill).
The concept is to create a buttress at each pit and infill to create stronger erosion control within that area. After this is completed then create a cluster style residential development (area is zoned R-5)
