April 25, 2020: The project includes replacement and repair of existing timber walls west of the residence along with placement of continuations of the existing walls along the north-south alignment of the existing walls. The existing walls include 6-inch timbers with local cribbing (as tiebacks) and pipe piles along with railroad ties. The existing walls are locally leaning and are in need of repair. Figure 1 shows the location of the existing walls and proposed wall extensions. Figure 2 shows a generalized section through the property as well as a detail of the proposed pipe piles and timber lagging.
