June 18, 2020: The existing site consists of 7 berthing dolphins (D-1 through D-7). Six of the existing berthing dolphins (D-2 through D-7) contain piles that have significantly deteriorated. Replacement of 20 of those piles is needed to maintain the industrial/commercial marine use of the berthing dolphins. Applicant is seeking shoreline exemption as normal maintenance and repair pursuant to SMC 23.60A.020 C1.

The City has issued a Pre-Application Site Visit Report for the adjacent Pier/upland (000727-20PA) in March 2020.
