Feb. 25, 2021: We are seeking a variance to SMC 23.44.014.4b,c, and clarification on d - that would allow renovations to an existing second story that would extend to the extents of the existing non-conforming first floor exterior walls - which is normally allowed by these sections, but is specifically excluded due to the fact that the extended rear wall would be closer than 20 feet to the lot line and the extended front wall would be closer than 15 feet to the lot line. Also, the fact that the building is slightly off of parallel to its property lines, we would like a determination of the limit to which we can extend the building to the side yard lines.
