April 29, 2022: Wa Na Wari located at 911 24th Ave seeks to move forward with a proposed artists studio located at 913 24th Ave. Owned by Inye Wokoma, these are two companion properties that help create space for black ownership, possibility and belonging through art, historic preservation and connection. At 913 24th Ave, the project seeks to demolish the existing detached garage and propose a DADU that would span over three levels (two above and 1 basement level) to include gallery storage, restroom, an oral history / video space, artists studio, elevator and storage.
