Aug. 23, 2022: The project will reroute, daylight and improve habitat along the portion of Willow Creek on and in the vicinity of 2500 NE 100th Street, Seattle, Washington, including on and in the vicinity of a portion of the right of way for the section of NE 100th Street located between Lake City Way NE and Ravenna Avenue NE. The project will remove and replace trees, revise the confluence of Willow Creek with the Thornton Creek - S Branch, abandon and replace culverts and stormwater drains, install a pedestrian bridge allowing access across the rerouted Willow Creek to 2500 NE 100th Street from NE 100th Street, revise the west end of the portion of NE 100th Street described above to be a cul-de-sac to make room for the rerouted Willow Creek and its floodplain, and maintain utility connections and residential driveways. The need for this project was triggered by SDOT's Northgate Pedestrian and Bicycle Bridge Project.
