March 6, 2023: I am a homeowner and I would like to do a permitted landscaping project at our primary residence. We are on an ECA. The intention of the project is to improve safety of the lot and also improve the usable area. We would like to build concrete retaining walls in front of existing boulder retaining walls on the property and replace 3 sets of current staircases so that they are redesigned to be safer and up to code. We don't know what to do first given the ECA since we don't want to hire a landscape designer if we aren't able to get permitted. We have a topographic survey of the property and can describe the changes desired. I am looking for a consultation to guide me through the permitting process and the steps that I need to take to submit a permit. Thank you!
