Jan. 15, 2025: I would like to remove a free-standing, 12' x 16' wood frame construction garage. It has two windows (18 in x 36 in) and a synthetic roll-up door. The house was built in 1904; it looks to be a similar vintage. It sits on an intact concrete slab. I would like to leave and seal the slab. I would like to deconstruct the building, if feasible. I am in discussion with a licensed contractor/demolition firm (bravoconstruction.biz). I am also seeking to short-plat lots 16 & 17 with the County and obtain a Legal Building Site letter from SDCI for Lot 17. There are no other structures on Lot 17 except this garage, which straddles the property line. I have a survey scheduled for Jan 2, 2025 to confirm that there are no other encroachments on Lot 17.
