Oct. 30, 2025: The home on-site is built on a bluff, which is armored by a two-tiered approximately 200 LF concrete bulkhead and upland retaining wall. An engineer inspection revealed that the lower bulkheads are damaged and require repairs. The proposed project is to repair the bulkhead in two phases. Proposed activities for Phase 1 include the repair of the upper bulkhead by sealing cracks and recoating the metal piles with an anti-corrosive coating. Proposed activities for Phase 2 include patching and recoating of the concrete headwall, repairing the 12 concrete buttresses, and installing a steel sheet pile at the lower bulkhead footing for the entire length of the bulkhead.
