Hello,
This is an application to build a "Cottage Housing Development" on an empty parcel of land (7129302620). This parcel doesn't yet have an address. I have been instructed to say "Please assign address for vacant parcel 7129302620.".
This is a "green" project that consists of 4 separate cottages and covered parking. This parcel is in an Environmentally Critical Area (Potential landslide/steep slope). While this parcel is mostly sloped there is a portion that is actually flat. There are homes higher up on the slope and a home that is adjacent to this parcel on the slope.
The proposed structures are cohesive with the nature of the parcel. They are underground earth-sheltered structures with green roofs/living roofs. They are simple rectangle structures that are one story studios/one bedrooms. These structures are essentially retaining walls that double as dwellings. Meaning, they will essentially be basements that are nearly completely covered with soil/grass. These structures will be anchored by "heels" and "toes". It is important to note that theses structures do not result in impervious surfaces due to their nature.
The grass "roofs" function to soak up rain, however drainage would be added to pass rainfall to a Rainwise cistern -this parcel qualifies for that program.
The introduction of this Cottage housing development will stabilize the ground for neighboring parcels and will be an overall positive additional to the area.
