Jan. 2, 2026: 90 LF bulkhead at existing cell #5 has failed affecting both the primary structure at cell #5 and the connecting arc between cell #4 and #5. Fill material has spilled out due to buckling and a bulkhead split. As a result, the pier has lowered making it unable to support any industrial level weight stopping operations. Project proposes to repair then demolish damaged infrastructure associated with existing pier, stabilize sheet pile wall of ruptured bulkhead cell, repair and refill bulkhead cell, install new support piles, and replace / reset a fender pile and concrete decking.
