July 8, 2015: Sharp Willow Tree Removal. We have a very large willow tree in our back yard on the bank of Coal Creek in Newport Shores. The tree is slowly falling over into our southerly neighbors' yard and has already crushed their fence. When it goes, it will take out trees and shrubs on both sides of the creek and potentially interrupt the flow of the creek. I spoke with Michael Paine about the tree last year. Our neighbors are now very concerned. We are asking for permission to remove the tree and its roots and looking for direction on mitigation.
