1663 Killarney Way
May 3, 2018: St. Mary-on-the-Lake Site Improvements. St. Mary-on-the-Lake is an existing 10.5 acre Residential Campus at 1663 Killarney Way in Bellevue, owned by the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace. The campus contains 3 residential halls, including an Assisted-Living Facility for the sisters, a Retreat facility, the Peace and Spirituality Center, and a Main Hall with dining facilities, Administrative offices, and a chapel. No work in any buildings is proposed in this scope. The goals for the St. Mary-on-the-Lake Site Improvements include increasing parking organization and capacity, clarifying entries to existing buildings, circulation, way-finding, lighting, and improved lakefront access, while maximizing preservation of mature growth trees across the site. The program calls for additional parking to serve residents, staff, and retreat center visitors. The parking areas will improve storm-water management and increase parking capacity, increasing from 60 to a new total of 82 between 2 existing lots. Accessibility will be improved by re-grading a covered drop-off area. A new pedestrian pathway will connect the campus buildings to the Lake Washington shoreline to improve accessibility. A new covered shelter is proposed on the shore adjacent to the existing dock. No overwater work is proposed beyond maintenance and repair. More detailed written descriptions, photos, and illustrations of the four individual areas of work are included in the submitted Site Plan/ Feasibility Study., Not Applicable
