Michaels Subaru . Storm damage from recent winter storm.

• VW/Subaru did sustain significant damage due to the snowstorm, including:
o Overpass connecting VW to their shop collapsed (has since been removed but wires span the buildings - I believe they are CAT5 per manager)
o Cracked overhang on the south end of the VW (pic below)
¿ As you can see, this is held by two 6x6’s but they are not properly secured or pinned
¿ They are not using the entire surface area of the 6x6
¿ They are not plumb and were sledgehammered in and reside at a slight angle
¿ Lt. Marsh will follow up today with the building department since we discovered this late last night
o The manager did say they had a structural engineer walk the entire buildings and they didn’t see any other compromised components
¿ That said, it’s a good reminder that that any flat roof in our first-in might have some damage we/they aren’t aware of
(consider that VW/Subaru wouldn’t have had a building engineer check it out if it wasn’t for the collapse and settling of the overhang)
