188 106th Ave NE - Unit GARA
Oct. 17, 2019: 106th Ave. at Bellevue Pacific Center. The commercial floors of the Bellevue Pacific Center have an address of 188 106th Avenue NE. Two new tenants, a bakery and a hot pot restaurant, have leased space in two commercial suites adjacent to 106th Avenue NE. There is no service connection through the building between the ground level retail on 106th Avenue NE and the Bellevue Pacific Tower building service area off of 107th Avenue NE which primarily serves the condominium tower. We request that the city alter the use of the two (2) 2-hour parking stalls located directly south of the driveway entrance to the building on 106th Avenue and designate them as 15 minute load/unload stalls 24/7. Such a designation would allow delivery trucks to pull in and easily service the street level tenants and avoid double parking in the center turn lane of the street. A load/unload designation will also provide for overnight pickup of garbage from the businesses. Three 2-hour stalls directly in front of the building entrance as well as additional two hour stalls on the block to the south are not impacted by this request. All residents in the area have off-street parking for their vehicles as evidenced by the 2-hour parking being empty overnight. Service and load/unload access is more critical for downtown retail than is street parking. The customers of these businesses are either walking to the location or can park in the building garage.
