Dec. 19, 2019: SEA CROSSROADS MALL (4TX) - Verizon. On the rooftop of the existing three-story multi-tenant apartment building, and behind the existing Verizon screened antenna enclosure, remove (9) of the existing (12) antennas and replace with (8) antennas for a new (reduced) total of (11), and remove (6) of the existing (12) remote radio heads and replace with (3) remote radio heads for a new (reduced) total of (9). One of the proposed replacement antennas is a small 5G 28 GHz mmW (millimeter wave) antenna that measures 20-inches tall and 8-inches wide. The mmW technology cannot propagate a reliable signal through fiberglass screen panels, and applicant proposes comply with the screening requirements by cutting a hole in the existing fiberglass screen panel the same size as the antenna, fitting the antenna in the cut-out so that the face of the antenna barely protrudes past the screen wall, caulking around the antenna to create a weather/wind-proof seal, and color-matching the antenna to match the white screen panel. The resulting change will be virtually indistinguishable and will comply with existing screening requirements.
