Feb. 25, 2020: River Birch Removals. Removal of 2 Betula nigra. Trees were planted by homeowner, but was not considered final mature size. The two birches are growing under canopy of larger adjacent Sequoia. The birches are competing with adjacent Sequoia. The homeowner is willing to replant to offset the loss of the birches. In my opinion, the loss of the two birches will allow the Sequoia to flourish and be sustained longer without direct competition.
