May 5, 2020: COBT - NE 12th St MMP. The NE 12th St multipurpose path project will replace the existing 5-foot wide concrete sidewalk with 12-foot wide concrete multi-use trail with a 5-foot minimum planter strip. The goal of this project is to extend the multi-use trail east of the 112th Avenue NE to 108th Avenue NE which connects to newly installed protected bicycle lanes and to increase ridership by providing a safe route for non-motorized travels to parks, work and other destinations. Scope of work will includes but is not limited to: Construct 12 foot wide concrete sidewalk. Construct 5 to 11-foot wide planter strip. Construct cement concrete curb and gutter. Remove trees. Reconstruct the existing curb ramps at the intersections of NE 12th St and 108th Ave NE, 110th Ave NE, 111th Ave NE, and 112th Ave NE. Reconstruct existing driveway approach at 110th Ave NE. Remove existing wall at corner of NE 12th St and 112th Ave NE. Adjust utilities to finished grade. Upgrade NE 12th and 108th Ave NE intersection. Restripe the bike crossings at the intersection, install green-bike box at SB 108th Ave NE and replace the existing signal pole. Remove existing pedestrian bridge foundations. Grind and overlay areas impacted by the project. Install Irrigation system. Landscaping enhancements.
