Aug. 6, 2020: EE-N Bellevue pre-app. As part of the Energize Eastside Project, PSE proposes to upgrade approximately 2.2 miles (North Bellevue portion) of existing 115 kV lines with 230 kV lines between the Redmond/Bellevue city boundary and Lakeside Substation. This upgrade requires replacing existing wood H-frame poles with steel monopoles. PSE proposes to undertake this work in the existing transmission line corridor. The proposed pole locations for the rebuilt lines will generally be in the same locations as the existing poles. Selective tree removal will also be required within the managed corridor to meet federal vegetation management requirements and PSE standards.

The North Bellevue Segment includes the following activities: pole replacement, including removal of approx. 38 wooden H-frames and installation of 6 single-circuit pairs and approx. 17 double-circuit, 230 kV steel monopoles; access routes and staging areas; stringing sites; and vegetation management for line clearance.

Please see project narrative document for more information, along with a brief list of questions for the pre-app and photo simulations.

Site plans are provided with this application package.

If required, an excerpt from the Critical Areas Report (existing conditions, wetland/stream delineation, and geotech report) may be provided. Additionally, tree retention/removal/trim maps can also be provided prior to the pre-app meeting.
