Aug. 20, 2020: 2 Hazard Cottonwoods. We have 2 hazard black cottonwoods lining the north western border of 13205 SE 30th Street, Bellevue WA 98005. We request permission to remove them, per the requested report from an arborist that is ISA certified in hazard tree assessment. The ISA certified arborist assessed the cottonwoods, whose report stated these 2 cottonwoods are high danger trees with sporadically falling/ dropping limbs imminently. They have extensive history of limb failure and should the trees fail, they would fall eastwardly, towards the tenants, vehicles and building. The 2 hazard cottonwoods overhang high traffic, full retail parking spaces, where guests have no knowledge of the danger when parking under these trees. Their limbs are large and most recently, measured 18" in diameter when it fell atop passenger vehicles. The parking spaces immediately affected are across Sherwin-Williams' front door, who is set to open September 7th. I would appreciate your help in reviewing and approving this issue to allow for time to schedule tree removal.
