Oct. 23, 2020: COB Parks - Newcastle Beach Park Pier Repair. Removal of the existing non-structural wave break wood planks from the side of the pier. The wave boards are treated timber planks bolted onto the dock. These boards extend below the waterline and do not contribute to the structural stability of the dock. The process for removing the wave break involves unbolting the wave boards from the dock and removing them to an offsite location. Our consultant Martha Hart with KPFF has been working with Myles Long in Land Use.
