March 9, 2021: COBU Cougar Mountain 1 Pump Station Rehabilitation. The City of Bellevue Cougar Mountain 1 (CM1) Water Pump Station was originally built in 1990. The City has identified deficiencies in the CM1 Pump Station and prioritized the pump station for rehabilitation. The pump station is an unoccupied structure that contains three pumps, associated electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment, and HVAC heaters and exhaust fans. The Pump Station is a critical water supply facility that functions to fill the Cougar Mountain 2 (CM2) Reservoir by pumping water from the 850 Pressure Zone and CM 1 Reservoir. This project involves improvements to resolve the deficiencies of the pump station, e.g., Install additional site piping and valves, replace pumps, upgrade instrumentation and control system, install a permanent standby generator, replace roof shingles, and repair loose piping anchorage.
