Sept. 30, 2021: Theatre33 - New Space. The proposed application is to modify the 2,850+/- sqft space located at 13243 NE 20th St, Bellevue, WA, 98005 from a cross fit gym into a performance black box theater space and education space for Theatre33, a nonprofit bilingual community theater. The black box theater will take up approximately 1,200 sqft and provide an open-concept performance space without fixed sitting or stage. The blackbox theater will be adapted to productions depending on the needs of the project. This may include but is not limited to portable platforms, folding or stacking chairs, tables and chairs, marley flooring, portable dance floor and others. This equipment will be stored on site next to the performance spaced. The black box theater and the reception area can be used for classes. The Theater will have 3 bathrooms with 4 fixtures, a kitchenette area and storage spaces. We propose to build a mezzanine level that would not be accessible to the public. This mezzanine will have a technical walk for light and music equipment and additional storage space. New partitions, modified existing mezzanine, new bathrooms to organize functions, described above.
