June 1, 2022: COBU - W-117 170th Place SE Pressure Improvements. The project proposes to trench an 8 inch-diameter transmission water main to provide increased water pressure to residences currently utilizing individual pumps. The water main will begin near SE 9th ST and 168th PL SE and utilize an existing unpaved driveway that extends
southeast through Weowna Park, past the residences situated on parcel no. 925390-0052 and -0053 at 925 and 929 170th PL SE respectively, and then continue along 170th PL SE. The proposed length of the new pipe is 1,600 linear feet.

The project area is within Weowna Park, which extends to the north and south. East and west of the project area is Single-family Residential (R-3.5) zoning. Weowna Park is located on a steep hillslope that drops from approximately 300 feet above sea level near the top of a terrace in the West Lake Sammamish Neighborhood to approximately 120 feet at West Lake Sammamish Parkway SE. The Park is home to some of the oldest remaining forest in the City of Bellevue and is a well-used hiking area, containing a network of trails.
