Sept. 28, 2022: PNW RETINAL RESEARCH CLINIC. Existing offices (10 to 15 people) are proposed to be remodeled to research clinic (5 to 6 people). The patients travel between the research clinic and the regular clinic. Currently there is a sidewalk (mostly uncovered) between the clinics and the accessible parking stalls area approximately 175 feet away. Proposed changes are to provide closer accessible parking to the research clinic, relocating one ADA stall and converting two stalls to accessible. This will require removing one compact stall to provide the required accessible aisle between accessible stalls. The accessible aisle will connect the parking to the research clinic at the sidewalk where a curb cut/ramp would be provided. Because the research patients are taken by wheelchair from the research clinic to the regular clinic, the scope would be to widen the existing sidewalk providing more protection from the elements from existing roof overhang. We would also install a handrail for patients and staff which would also be used for hanging baskets to satisfy landscaping requirements. The interior portion of the project is to remodel existing offices to be a research clinic associated with the adjacent Retina Clinic. Total of 1,293 square feet. Interior partition walls will be reconfigured to new layout. Existing lay-in ceiling and lighting shall be modified to new layout. Plumbing consists of adding one bathroom to be used for lab purposes. Men''s and Women''s restrooms are off a common hallway shared by the tenants.
