March 13, 2023: Hazelwood House. We proposed to demolish existing 700 square foot housed non conforming deck. We propose to demolish existing non conforming garage building and replace in current location. We propose to build new 2 story home with daylight basement that is attached to new garage structure, basically creating one structure that includes the replacement of the non conforming garage. The garage has a studio apartment below that is essentially the foundation to the garage. We propose to provide access from studio to new structure. We propose to build an elevated deck in the shoreline setback area that is supported by 3 columns. We also plan a cantilevered deck on second story that also is within shoreline setback.We plan to remove one cluster of overgrown deciduous tree and to trim overgrown screening trees along both property lines. We feel that this project will enhance the shoreline of Lake Washington as shown by the supporting, plans, documents and photos.
