March 31, 2023: COBU - South Ridge Pump Station/Force Main Rehabilitation. The South Ridge Pump Station (SRPS), reported to have been built in 1997, was last upgraded in 2009. The SRPS is experiencing higher than anticipated wearing on the pumps. An alternatives analysis completed under BAC.009 (Brown & Caldwell, 2021) presented a number of alternatives to improve pump station operation. The selected alternative for implementation is to replace the pumps and force main to restore pump station capacity. Maintenance and electrical modernization improvements are also proposed as part of the current upgrade project. This scope of work is for design and services during construction of the proposed improvements. The proposed force main alignment involves horizontal directional drilling (HDD) up a steep hillside.
