March 11, 2024: COBP Ardmore Stability Project. The Project will reduce erosion in the north and south tributaries of Idylwood Creek in Ardmore Park caused by stormwater flows from the nearby single-family neighborhoods. The Project will reduce peak flow rates in the north tributary by installing a flow control structure (i.e., Type 2 catch basin), energy dissipation (i.e., high-density polyethylene [HDPE] diffusor tee) and channel protection (i.e., riprap pad) to use available storage in a 30-inch corrugated metal pipe (CMP) that currently outfalls to the north tributary near NE 28th Street. The Project will also install an energy dissipation structure (i.e., HDPE diffuser tee) and channel protection (i.e., riprap splash pad) at the existing 30-inch concrete pipe outfall on the south tributary that drains east into Ardmore Park from NE 25th Street. The energy dissipation structures will serve to reduce erosive potential in the vicinity of the pipe outfalls.
