July 18, 2024: Eastside Interceptor Section 8 Pipe Rehabilitation. Rehabilitate 5,600 feet of the existing 90- to 96- inch diameter King County wastewater tunnel located entirely within the City of Bellevue starting northwest of the WSDOT I-90 & I-405 interchange and ending near the Coal Creek Parkway & I-405 interchange. Work will begin at King County's North Portal and end at a maintenance hole in the Coal Creek Natural Area. Sewage diversion piping will be required and locations are being evaluated. The King County Parks Eastside Rail Corridor will potentially be used for part of the diversion alignment.
