Sept. 9, 2024: I-405 R2B - Project Wide Noise Variance. The project will generally widen I-405 through Bellevue by a single lane in each direction, make improvements at the 112th Avenue SE interchange, replace the Lake Washington Blvd SE bridge over I-405, widen and construct bridges over Coal Creek Parkway, widen the bridge over SE 8th Street, retrofit the existing NB I-405 to EB I-90 bridge, construct a new bridge over SB I-405 for the Eastrail Trail, and correct fish passage barriers across I-405 in the vicinity of the Coal Creek Parkway interchange. The specific work activities will include clearing and grading, paving, relocation of guardrail and barrier, fish passage culvert installation, bridge demo and construction, storm drainage installation, construction of new stormwater facilities, construction of a new waterline, and seeding, planting, and restoration of disturbed areas.
