Oct. 17, 2024: Vowels pier reconfiguration. Reconfigure existing 1,734 SF pier. Remove twenty (20) piles. Sleeve twenty-eight (28) piles with HDPE pipe and fill with conc. Remove the lowered platform (243.5 SF). Shorten the pier by eleven (11) feet. Add three (3) 6-inch epoxy coated steel piles. Reduce the pier size by 600 SF to 1,134 SF. Remove the two (2) pier mounted PWC lifts. Install a freestanding platform lift (233 SF). Replace the existing solid wood-plank decking (1,134 SF) with Titan grated decking (47% open space). Repair caps & stringers as needed. Add intermediate stringers to support the grated decking.
