Dec. 17, 2024: Deck and landscaping. My project involves a deck/ patio rebuild with limited landscaping in our backyard. The project is for a single family housing and I along with my family currently live there.

The scope of work is limited to the rebuild of an existing deck/patio area and landscaping improvements. The landscaping will use native plants to increase plant density and environmentally friendly materials, based on consulting my landscaper.

I have an approved permit number 23 11804 BR for the deck build. When we started work, we got city inspectors at home for a pre-con. The inspectors determined that a retaining wall is required on one side of the deck. And the land use team determined that a survey is also needed. I was also advised to reach out to a landscaper and include any landscaping needs.

As such the plans submitted include the deck rebuild, the retaining wall and the landscaping.
