Jan. 21, 2025: Eastside Interceptor Section 8 Pipe Rehabilitation. King County Wastewater Treatment Division is proposing the Eastside Interceptor Section 8 Pipe Rehabilitation Project to rehabilitate 5,600 feet of the existing 90- to 96- inch diameter wastewater tunnel located within the City of Bellevue. Work includes installation of a liner system within the existing pipeline. During repair, sewage flows will be diverted using a temporary above-ground sewer line diversion along the Eastrail Corridor (ERC) with a new permanent diversion pipe under I-405 from the ERC to an existing Coal Creek Natural area maintenance hole.
