May 7, 2025: House Damage from Fire at 5032 165th Pl SE - Dec. 2024. Contractor was working on flooring of home and burning material inside fireplace when fire started. Fire started in fireplace on the 2nd floor. Floor around fireplace was also damaged. Fire started in the middle of house and traveled around the perimeter of roof. Thinks the whole roof may need to be reframed. Between fire department, and pipe bursting due to winter weather, house was flooded. Insurance hired demo team to remove water damaged drywall and mechanical work in crawlspace. Elec wires got cut. Mold treatment was done for a few weeks so safe to enter. Roof is temporarily covered now.
