2 92nd Ave NE

Aug. 7, 2025: COBP - Clyde Beach Park Boathouse Demolition Project. The City of Bellevue Parks and Community Services Department is proposing demolition of the Clyde Beach Park boathouse pier and launch pier located along the Meydenbauer Bay shoreline. The demolition will take place at Clyde Beach Park located at 2 92nd Avenue NE, in Bellevue, Washington. No development or alteration to the existing seawall and topography is proposed, and demolition would not require the removal, relocation, or addition of utilities on the property. The demolition activities will consist of removal and disposal of the boathouse, the launch pier, and the disconnection of the boathouse deck from the seawall. Due to limited upland access through the park, it is assumed that demolition activities will occur from the water with floating barges and equipment. All components of demolished structures will be removed including timber piles, timber pile caps, timber stringers, timber decking, timber framed walls, and a timber framed, timber shingle lined roof. Approximately 20% of timber piles have been repaired in the past using concrete encasements and pile posts. All associated materials for past repair work will also be removed. The swim pier located to the north of the boathouse and seawall will be protected in place. All piles scheduled for removal will be fully extracted.
