March 16, 2026: Downtown Urban Pitch. The Bellevue Downtown Association (BDA) proposes to install a 50 x 80 modular urban soccer pitch in the northwest corner of the PACCAR lot south of NE 6th Street as a semi-temporary activation from May through September. The installation will utilize a prefabricated mini-pitch system designed for dense urban environments and does not require permanent construction. The project will consist of the installation of a contained street-soccer playing surface with low perimeter boards, goals, and overhead netting. The pitch will support both open community play and organized programming, such as youth clinics, small-sided games, and community events. Project elements include: - Modular artificial turf playing surface (USP Futsal Turf with shock pad and infill) - 20 solid wall perimeter panels forming the pitch enclosure - 4 corner support posts - 2 street soccer goals (6 W x 4 H) - 1 lockable access gate - Nylon containment netting extending to a total height of approximately 12 feet around the pitch The installation is temporary and will be removed at the conclusion of the program period. The field components will then be donated to the Bellevue Boys & Girls Club for continued community use.
