11500 NE 2nd Pl

April 23, 2026: Sturtevant Creek Culvert Replacement. The City of Bellevue Utilities proposes to replace a fish passage barrier (WDFW Site ID 934353) on Sturtevant Creek under NE 2nd Place. The project will replace the existing culverts with a 16 inch wide box or 3-sided structure to improve fish passage. The culvert replacement will occur in Bellevue, Washington, on right-of-way owned by the City. Additional stream restoration, including LWM placement, is proposed from the new structure to the north (upstream) about 100 feet to the WSDOT property line, located on adjacent private properties (parcels 2543200105 and 2543200125). Limited restoration downstream of NE 2nd Place to construct the crossing, tie in the new structure to the stream channel, and provide vegetation restoration will also be performed, as well as project staging, on private property (parcel 2543200015).
